Ms. Nicole started dancing at age 3 and hasn’t stopped since. Even after graduating from Perryville High School, she continued her passion at Stephens College where she was able to study dance under world-renowned choreographers in a myriad of different styles and techniques including ballet, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, pointe, hip hop, and more. After graduating with a BS in Marketing, PR, and Advertising, Ms. Nicole moved back to Perryville to start a family with her husband and has been teaching at The Dance Center since 2013. In addition to teaching dance classes, she also coaches The Dance Center’s Competition Team, choreographs for Three Rivers College Theater Department, and assists with dance choreography for the Perryville High School Color Guard. Ms. Nicole continues her dance education through memberships with CLI Studios and Dance Teacher Web to ensure she is always up-to-date with the latest techniques and styles.

Sarah brings to The Dance Center over 15 years of dance experience. She has danced competitively and in the spring of 2011 won first place overall with her tap and modern dance solos in competitions in St. Louis. She has experience in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, modern, lyrical, and hip hop. She began teaching at the Perryville studio in 2012. Although she loves all styles of dance, her passion is for tap. In 2017 she choreographed a tap duo that won first place overall and received a special award from the judges in St. Louis.

Shelly began her dance career at the age of 2 1/2 at Bev's School of Dance in Ste Genevieve. She took ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, poms, and musical theater. She competed in dance competitions in the St. Louis and southern Missouri ares as well as several invitations to the Memphis State Fair. She has trained at workshops with Joe Tremaine and Dance Olympus.
She began teaching at the age of 19 for Bev's School of dance (later changed to La Premiere Danse Centre). She has assisted Mr. Tim Thompson in several school musicals with St. Vincent High School in Perryville. She later retired from dance for a time to raise her children. She recently began teaching again at The Dance Center in Perryville. When she attended workshops with Dance Olympus, world renowned ballet instructor, Jo Rowan, taught her how to have fun with ballet. One of her favorite quotes from Ms. Rowan was "Compete with yourself, not others." |
